Low-voltage systems installation

CCTV, internet and Wi-Fi with no dead zones, intruder and fire alarms, intercoms, a server room or telecom cabinet: we design and install all of a property's low-voltage systems with one team, together with the power wiring, not on top of a finished renovation.

What low-voltage systems include

  • CCTV — 4–8 MP IP cameras, PoE recorders, cloud access from your phone, analytics (people, vehicles, line crossing), 30+ days of storage. For houses, building entrances, car parks, hotels and shops.
  • Internet and seamless Wi-Fi — Cat 6/6A structured cabling, Ubiquiti UniFi or MikroTik access points forming one network across the whole property, guest Wi-Fi with login for hotels and cafés, backup internet via a second provider or LTE.
  • Intruder alarms — wireless Ajax or wired: motion, door/window, glass-break, leak and smoke detectors; sirens; alerts to your phone and to a security company's monitoring centre.
  • Fire alarms — addressable and conventional Teletek, UniPOS and Rubezh systems; detectors, manual call points, alarm sounders; for commercial properties — in line with Georgia's technical regulation (Resolution No. 41), with an evacuation plan.
  • Intercoms and access control — video intercoms, door stations, electric locks, card and fingerprint readers, access control for aparthotels with remote door opening.
  • Server room / telecom cabinet — 19" cabinet, patch panels, switches, UPS, cooling, earthing, labelling; all of the property's electronics in one place.
  • Multimedia and TV — cable/satellite TV, IPTV for hotels, wiring for TVs and speakers.

Why we do low-voltage work together with the power wiring

Low-voltage cables go in at the same rough-in stage as power cables, but along separate routes kept away from 220 V, otherwise interference will ruin both the Wi-Fi and the camera picture. If the “internet guy” is called in after the finishes are done, you end up with surface trunking on the walls and a router in the hallway that doesn't reach the bedroom. We plan everything at the rough-in installation stage: one twisted-pair cable to every TV, workstation, access point and camera, all brought back to the cabinet.

Equipment

Hikvision, Dahua, Uniview (video); Ubiquiti UniFi, MikroTik, TP-Link Omada (networking); Ajax, Paradox, Teletek (security and fire); Hikvision, Akuvox, Dahua (intercoms); APC, Eaton (UPS). We buy from official distributors in Georgia, with a 12–24 month warranty.

Scope of work

Scope of work by system

CCTV

Camera coverage plan on the floor plan (no blind spots at the entrance or car park), UTP cable with PoE, cameras with IR night vision and IP67 rating outdoors, recorder with a 30-day hard drive, motion-triggered recording, phone access, connection to a monitoring centre if needed.

Network and Wi-Fi

Cat 6/6A twisted pair to every point, patch panel and switch in the cabinet, router with failover, ceiling-mounted access points with seamless roaming, guest network, separate networks for cameras and smart home. Coverage measured after installation.

Intruder alarm

Ajax: hub, detectors, keypad, siren, connection to a Batumi security company or to your phones; video verification of alarms; “leave home — arm the system” scenarios.

Fire alarm

For apartments and houses — standalone or as part of Ajax; for commercial properties — an addressable system to design, with detectors in every room, manual call points at exits, alarm sounders, an event log and documents for inspection.

Intercom and access

Door station with camera, indoor monitors or an app, electric strike/magnetic lock, readers, an intercom system for a building entrance or aparthotel with remote opening for guests.

Server room

19" 6–42U cabinet, patch panels, PoE switches, router, recorder, UPS for 30–60 minutes, ventilation or air conditioning, earthing, cable management, diagram and labelling of every port.

How the work goes

How we install low-voltage systems

  1. 01Survey

Floor plan, key areas for cameras, where Wi-Fi is needed, where the workstations and TVs are, where the cabinet goes. For commercial properties — the inspectors' requirements.

  2. 02Layout and estimate

Device layout on the floor plan, specification with brands and prices, cable routes. Two options: basic and extended.

  3. 03Cabling

At the rough-in stage together with the electrical work; in a finished space — above the ceiling, in skirting boards and in trunking, with minimal disruption.

  4. 04Equipment and setup

Installing cameras, access points, detectors and panels; patching the cabinet; configuring the network, recording, alarms and apps.

  5. 05Handover

Every camera and point tested, Wi-Fi measured, system documentation with passwords and diagram, user briefing, warranty.

For business

Fire alarms for cafés, hotels and offices in Georgia

The fire safety technical regulation (Government Resolution No. 41 of 2016) requires owners of commercial buildings to have smoke and fire detection, alarm notification and a certified evacuation plan; enforcement is carried out by the Emergency Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In practice, inspections come when a business opens, after a complaint or on schedule — and the penalty for having no alarm system can go as far as suspension of operations.

What we do for a commercial property: a fire alarm design with detectors placed to code, an addressable control panel, smoke and heat detectors, manual call points at exits, visual and audible alarms, “Exit” signs, an evacuation plan, as-built documentation and a certificate for inspectors. If needed, signal transmission to a monitoring centre.

Wi-Fi in an aparthotel: a typical setup

Fibre from the provider → router with LTE backup → PoE switches on each floor → a ceiling access point for every 2–3 rooms → one network with seamless roaming, guest login by room number, per-guest speed limits, a separate network for staff and cameras. Everything is managed from a single cloud controller; the engineer can see every access point and every client. A network like this for 20 rooms is installed in 3–4 days.

FAQ

FAQ — Low-voltage systems

Which cameras should I choose — IP or analogue?

IP with PoE: power and signal over one cable, 4–8 MP resolution, analytics, phone access. Analogue (HD-TVI) only makes sense when replacing cameras on old coaxial wiring.

How many days of footage are stored?

Typically 30 days on a 4–8 TB drive with motion-triggered recording. For shops and hotels we recommend 60–90 days. Cloud storage is optional.

Does Wi-Fi get through concrete?

Poorly: the monolithic concrete walls in Batumi's new builds cut the signal by half with each wall. That's why we install 2–3 cabled ceiling access points with seamless handover instead of one powerful router.

Can Ajax be connected to a security company's monitoring?

Yes. Ajax is officially sold in Georgia, and most security companies in Batumi and Tbilisi support it. We'll set up alerts to the monitoring centre and to your phones at the same time.

Do I need a fire alarm in an apartment?

Not by law, but standalone smoke detectors at 40–60 GEL save lives. With Ajax, a smoke and leak detector can be added in 10 minutes.

Do you provide service after installation?

Yes: remote support, call-out visits on request, equipment replacement, firmware updates.
